Jack Luderer, MD
Jack Luderer, MD, has extensive experience in both the pharmaceutical industry and higher education. While in the pharmaceutical industry he held a series of executive positions at The Upjohn Company and Pharmacia. He has global experience involving all phases of clinical research and pharmaceutical product development. He served as Vice-President for Medical Affairs in North America during his last position at Pharmacia.
Dr. Luderer has also held academic appointments in the Departments of Medicine and Pharmacology at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and the clinical faculty of the Michigan State University College of Medicine. Dr. Luderer served as Vice President for Research at Western Michigan University from 2002-2005, and Executive Director of the Biosciences Research and Commercialization Center at Western Michigan University until June 2010 when he was named Interim Dean of the Western Michigan University School of Medicine, a position he held until the Founding Dean was hired. In March 2011, he was appointed Associate Dean of the Medical School.
Dr. Luderer is a founding partner of the Apjohn Group, a business accelerator focused on launching new life science businesses. He currently serves on the Managing Board of Directors of the Southwest Michigan Innovation Center, the Board of Directors of ProNai Therapeutics, and is Chief Medical Officer for Phrixus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a startup pharmaceutical company. He has held various roles in several other life-science startup companies.
Dr. Luderer received his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine. He also holds a Masters Degree in Chemistry and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology.
Dr. Luderer’s experience and clinical qualifications bring a unique strength to Armune’s business. His independence and objectivity as they relate to commercial laboratory product lines and referring physician practices will promote and facilitate productive communication among all stakeholders. Furthermore, his background in clinical research and healthcare product development will significantly aid Armune’s future cutting-edge assay research & development efforts.
